Education and career path
Gilles Crettol studied law at the Universities of Bern and Geneva and holds a law degree delivered by the University of Geneva (1988). He obtained his licence to practise at the Bar in 1990.
Gilles Crettol cofounded the law firm Monfrini Crettol & Partners in 2004. Since 2017, he is an external consultant to the law firm De la Gandara & Partners.

After professional experience in a Geneva law firm where he practised arbitration, Gilles Crettol worked for over a year in a legal counsel office in Tokyo where he counselled Japanese and Swiss companies (1991-1992).

Between 1993 and 2003, Gilles Crettol worked as an associate (1993 – 1998), and then as a partner in an important law firm in Geneva where he mainly practised business law and advised Swiss and foreign companies based in Switzerland.

Experience
Gilles Crettol’s principal activity consists in advising individuals and companies, mainly in the following areas: contracts, the setting -up and managing of family offices, structuring investment vehicles, relocation of individuals and companies, and tax and estate planning, essentially in Asia.
